Easter Activities for Kids to Keep them Entertained all Holiday!

With the start of the Easter holidays, we wanted to pull together some fun Easter activities for kids this April.

From Easter Egg Hunts to frolicking with cute animals, and even breakfast with the Easter Bunny, we have compiled our favourite selection of Easter activities for kids this Easter holiday!

Here are our favourite Easter activities for kids in April 2024:

Chessington World of Adventures - EGGSplorers Event

Opening from 28th March to 14th April, Chessington’s EGGSplorers event offers lots of fun Easter activities for kids that the whole family will enjoy!

Returning for a second year, the EGGSplorer event includes an Easter Activity Trail, Easter Bunny meet and greet, as well as a family show. With your EGGSplorers ticket, you will also have access to the theme park, zoo, and Sea Life.

With so much to explore, why not make a family trip of it? Families can book a short break over Easter which includes staying in one of their themed resort hotels, and access to their full Easter event including the theme park and EGGSplorers!

Piglets Adventure Farm - York

After the popularity of Penelope the piglet who starred in our Faded Denim photoshoot, we had to include another piglet adventure in our top Easter activities for kids.

Piglets Adventure Farm has lots of fun Easter activities to choose from this April. From lamb bottle feeding, a family panto, plenty of indoor and outdoor play areas, and of course an Easter Egg Hunt, there is plenty of fun to be had this Easter.

Their Easter Egg-stravaganza starts from 23rd March and runs until 14th April.

Go Laser Tag - Whyteleafe, London

Now it might not be Easter-themed but Go Laser Tag looked too much fun not to mention! Suitable for children over 6yrs old, this is a more grownup adventure, that we have a feeling adults will enjoy as much as children!

For those little ones with bags of energy, this Easter activity is perfect to tire them out with 50 acres of forest battleground to explore.

This is one of our favourite Easter activities for kids birthdays, with lots of birthday perks including free Pizza Hut pizza for parties over 10! There is also a cafe for adults who prefer to relax, to hang out during the adventure. Of course, if you want to get involved in the action adventure you can do that too!

Easter Bunny Breakfast - Dobbies Garden Centres

From 29th March until 1st April, Dobbies Garden Centres are offering breakfast with the elusive Easter Bunny! The event includes lots of Easter activities for kids following a yummy traditional English breakfast with vegetarian options for both children and adults.

Suitable for children aged 3-10yrs old, little ones will follow in the footsteps of the Easter Bunny to learn how to plant their very own wildflower garden, with the opportunity to take home their miniature garden! There are also fun games to keep your little ones entertained all morning.

Tickets include breakfast and entry to the Easter event as well as some little treats on the way.

Freddo’s Easter Eggstravaganza at Cadbury’s World - Birmingham

An Easter adventure would not be complete without a trip to the home of chocolate at Cadbury’s World in Birmingham!

Our favourite frog, Freddo is back, and returning with lots of fun Easter activities for kids this April. Included in the price of your Cadbury’s World ticket this Easter, join Freddo and friends on his search for the Golden Egg, in this hilarious spectacle. Expect plenty of audience participation with lots of songs, dance, and laughs in this musical adventure.

Freddo’s Easter Egg-stravaganza starts from 23rd March and runs until 7th April.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Blenheim Palace - Oxford

One of our favourite Easter events this April has to be the Eggstravaganza at Blenheim Palace with plenty of Easter activities for kids to choose from!

Running from 29th March until 1st April, this is a short event but with lots of fun activities. Included in the price of your ticket is an Easter Egg trail, circus skills workshops, dress up tent, mini golf, bubble performance, meet the Easter Bunny, and travelling show.

This event wouldn’t be complete without lots of yummy food to enjoy all day too! Especially for Easter, Blenheim Palace has welcomed the Hotel Chocolat Chocmobile, offering lots of chocolatey treats. As well as wood-fired pizza, a cafe, and Oxfordshire pantry in the Walled Garden for hungry bellies.

Great Big Golden Egg Hunt - New Forest

At Longdown Activity Farm in Ashurst, New Forest, there are lots of Easter activities for kids to enjoy this April. Perfect for any animal lovers, there are lots of cute animals to keep your little ones entertained including goats, pigs, cows, rabbits, guinea pigs, and chicks of course!

This year the Longdown Golden Egg Hunt returns, with 19 golden eggs to find, plus a very special (and well-hidden) Platinum egg. The Egg Hunt runs daily from 29th March to 1st April, and entry tickets include participation in the Golden Egg Hunt.

For those extra-active little ones, there are plenty of outdoor amusements including a play area, trampolines, ride-on tractors, and go karts. As well as pitch and putt crazy golf for adults and kids to enjoy.

Canoe Easter Egg Hunt - Beaulieu

Looking for something a bit different this Easter? New Forest Activities have organised a fun canoe Easter Egg Hunt in the quiet village of Beaulieu in the New Forest.

Climb aboard one of their Canadian-style canoes for a leisurely trip along the Beaulieu river. Perfect for a relaxed family day out, we have been assured that these canoes are stable!

After a picturesque ride, your little ones can explore the forest to find all the chocolate eggs, providing the donkeys haven’t got to them first.

All participants will receive a chocolate egg for taking part, even the grownups! You will then enjoy a peaceful canoe journey back to Beaulieu village.

Make a full day of it by taking the 15-minute drive to the seaside town of Lymington, where our little Dotty shop is located on the high street. We will be open every day over the Easter holidays from 10am - 5pm (weekdays and Saturdays) and 10am - 3pm on Sundays. We have both children’s styles and adults dungarees for you to try on.

After a day of exploring and shopping, you will want to explore Lymington’s vast array of cafes and coffee shops. We would recommend Coffee & Drift for great coffee and yummy brunches. They are takeaway only during this season, so best saved for a sunny day when you can sit by the harbour.

Other great places to eat for families include Cornish Bakery (next door to Dotty), Caffe Nero who also have a lovely garden area, and Mine’s a Pasty, although indoor seating is limited, but the pasties are the best we’ve tried!

For a quieter lunch, head to St Barbe Museum which is just off the main high street, and has lots of tables for a leisurely lunch.

Mottisfont Easter Egg Hunt - Romsey

We couldn’t compile our favourite Easter activities for kids without including a National Trust property. Mottisfont in Romsey is holding an Easter Egg hunt for all the family from 23rd March until 14th April.

With lots of fun games for little and big ones alike, have a go at welly wanging, bunny bowling, and hoopla, as well as some fun egg-themed exercises, this promises to be a great family day outdoors.

The Easter trail includes a pair of bunny ears and chocolate egg for each participant. There are also “50 things to do before you are 11 ¾” for all little explorers. These include the popular game of Pooh sticks, making friends with a bug, and rolling down a hill, we think you could have a go too!

As well as beautiful nature to explore, there are plenty of refreshments for hungry little bellies. The Old Kitchen Cafe serves a selection of lunches, sandwiches, cakes, and snacks as well as hot and cold drinks. There is also a coffee shop and Coach House Cafe in the Stables for a relaxing afternoon. In addition to a second-hand bookshop and plant centre to peruse.

Pennywell Farm - Devon

Last but certainly not least, Pennywell Farm in Devon is hosting their very own Egg-stravaganza event over the Easter holidays with lots of Easter activities for kids this April.

Starting on 29th March and running until 14th April, their Egg-stravaganza event includes an Egg-stravaganza trail, photo competition, guess the weight of the Easter Bunny’s helpers, colouring competition, orchard games, and a quiz (Easter weekend only).

On top of these activities, there is plenty of farmyard fun to be had including piggy racing, pet cuddles, bottle-feeding lambs, goat milking, and pony pampering!

For adventurous little ones, there are also some fun rides included in the price of your ticket including tractor, railway, and red rocket rides, pond dipping, crazy golf, indoor play areas, and a Willow Maze.

Hope you have enjoyed our favourite Easter activities for kids this April, and have found some fun outdoor adventures to keep your little ones entertained.
